Human health is affected by several conditions including those leading to either physical or functional loss of tissues. This issue has not been effectively addressed by conventional medicine until the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (TERM) has evolved. TERM has a great potential to efficiently manage the problem of tissue loss. The products of TERM are rapidly introducing into the global market, which is expected to experience a huge growth in near future.

The research and training in the Department of TERM prepare our students to approach this market. We believe that scientific knowledge, technical and professional competence, entrepreneurship, self-confidence and independence are the most important tools that can lead our students into a manufacturing and industrial career in order to discover, invent and produce innovative TERM modalities to address unmet health needs. We are trying hard to train our students for these capabilities, those needed to succeed in the professional world.
